Project Summary

Warm mix asphalt is classified when the asphalt is produced at temperature between 240°F - 275°F. There are three forms of technology utilized today when producing warm mix asphalt; organic addictive or wax, chemical addictive, and water injection foaming. The expansion of addictives increase fluid contents which improves coating and compaction on the asphalt. A field evaluation was conducted via City of Orange to study the feasibility, integrity, and amount of energy savings on a parking lot pacing.
