Project Summary

The purpose of this study is to provide information that will assist PG&E in exploring new/alternative energy efficiency programs for Thin Clients, PCs, and Imaging equipment in the commercial segment. This study was designed to explore, obtain, and report the best data and insights on:

  • PC Usage States, (the amount of time devices are On, Off, Sleep) for selected industry-specific segments;
  • Imaging equipment (Printers and Multi-Function Printer/Scanner/Fax/Copier) Usage States (the amount of time devices are On, Off, Sleep) for selected industry-specific segments; and
  • Perspective from the individuals interviewed that would affect energy efficiency programs, their implications to driving adoption of PG&E energy efficiency programs.
