Scaled Field Placement of Wireless Pneumatic Thermostats

Project Number ET11PGE3171 Organization PG&E End-use Whole Building Sector Commercial Project Year(s) 2011 - 2012
Description

Wireless pneumatic thermostats (WPTs) present a retrofit opportunity that can enable energy-saving control strategies to be implemented in commercial buildings with older pneumatic HVAC controls. The goals of the scaled field placement were to evaluate the implementation of WPT systems at four pilot sites, collect data about their energy performance, and evaluate the feasibility of a hybrid deemed rebate program for the technology.
