Project Number ET11SDGE0012 Organization SDG&E End-use Lighting Sector Commercial, Public, Industrial Project Year(s) 2011 - 2011
Description
The goals of the project were to determine the acceptance and energy savings potential of eHID ballast lighting system as compared to traditional HID magnetic ballast lighting system. This project validated that properly designed eHID lighting systems, meaning proper lamp and reflector, can provide energy savings of 69% without significantly compromising the lighting performance required for high bay lighting. It should be noted that even greater savings was achieved in this project due to switching from indirect to direct lighting fixtures.
