Project Summary

The purpose of this Outdoor Lighting Symposium was to bring together researchers and stakeholders to identify and address key issues in efficient outdoor lighting, particularly in the arena of outdated lighting standards. One of the key goals was to begin the process of generating new lighting standards and recommended best practices that would allow the use of emerging outdoor lighting technologies that have the potential to save energy in outdoor lighting, while increasing or maintaining lighting quality.
