Description
This project evaluates technologies with a systems approach that have the potential to reduce electric energy use and then apply same in the field with enough examples to gather useful public feelings and acceptance. The primary goal is a proof-of-concept (POC) assessment of energy savings potential, visual impacts, and user acceptance of an advanced LED residential street lighting system. This POC modulates adjacent sets of light based on vehicle and pedestrian presence.
