Project Number DR 06.14 Organization SCE End-use Other Sector Commercial, Industrial Project Year(s) 2006 - 2008
Description

Project Summary

This project evaluates how SCE can employ its existing satellite (SatComm) and radio-based (NetComm) communications infrastructure to enable current and future demand response (DR) programs for large commercial and industrial customers. The evaluation is accomplished using existing building Energy Management Control System (EMCS) infrastructure available at a customer site and by developing the means to intelligently dispatch signals across two SCE networks that result in customer load shedding.
