Project Info COMPLETE Project Title

Evaporative Pre-Cooling of Air Cooled Chiller Field Evaluation

Project Number ET11SCE1290 Organization SCE End-use HVAC Sector Commercial Project Year(s) 2012 - 2014
Description
The general basis of this technology is evaporative precooling of the ambient air prior to contact with existing air-cooled condensing coils. The idea is it lowers the entering air temperature on the outdoor unit. The compressor does not have to do as much work, which results in energy savings. The approach is a field study of the system in operation.
