Project Summary

This report summarizes the installation and assessment of electronic HID at a regional supermarket chain location in Northern California. Relying primarily on field testing, the project team conducted photometric and power measurements, as well as customer satisfaction surveys and economic payback calculations. This application assessment study was designed to verify functionality as well as the brightness and quality of light currently achievable with replacing taditional core and coil HID ballast technology with new electronic HID ballast capable of dimming and Demand Repsonse in order to aid the acceleration of their mainstream adoption in the supermarket and warehouse retailer end-use.
