DISHMACHINE REBATE RESEARCH REPORT

Project Number N/A End-use Process Sector Commercial Project Year(s) 2020 - 2020
Description

Commercial dishmachines are in widespread and regular use in food service establishments. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has enacted a rebate program for door-type and undercounter-type dishmachines to foster the use of energy efficient models. Rebate applications are easy to submit; details are available on utility and CAenergywise websites. After reviewing yearly 2019 rebate data, SoCalGas found that the single tank door type dishmachine category has room for improvement on rebate submission rates. The goal of this project was to better understand why the rebate submissions are low, and to develop recommendations on how to increase them.
