Project Number DR10SCE09.02 Organization SCE End-use Whole Building Sector Commercial Project Year(s) 2010 - 2012
Description

This project aims to identify tools that can be used by commercial and industrial customers to better understand their facility’s demand profile and assist in decision making for DR program participation. This report summarizes the known characteristics and capabilities of existing DR tools. The results presented here cover:

1. Load analysis tools: These types of tools are used for storing and displaying load data. For DR purposes, the tool evaluation will concentrate on the ability of the tool to develop baselines and to have load predicting capabilities. This may include existing energy information systems with DR evaluation capabilities.

2. Simulation Tools: Tools that are used to implement and evaluate DR strategies.
