Description

This report describes the key economic costs and benefits, as well as emissions avoided, of a code change requiring zero emissions cooking equipment in new commercial food service kitchens in California. This research forecasts the costs and benefits associated with a 2022 intervening code change, which goes into effect in July 2024, with the first new starts permitted under the new code anticipated to begin in 2025.
