A Comprehensive Retail Store Retrofit to LED Lighting in Common Lighting Applications

Project Number ET12PGE1481 Organization PG&E End-use Lighting Sector Commercial Project Year(s) 2012 - 2013
Description
The goal of this project was to evaluate the economic and technical viability of a comprehensive LED retrofit for all major fixture applications within a Fry’s Electronics store in Northern California. This includes general service fluorescent lighting, general service incandescent lighting, downlighting, and directional lighting applications. Due to the lack of existing field assessment of LED retrofits for fluorescent lighting, the project specifically focused on three different fluorescent lighting applications, including 2x4 recessed troffers, 1x4 strip fixtures and wraps, and 1x4 suspended box louvers. The report was updated on March 13, 2014 to include the results of 6000 hour lamp testing of CREE CS14 fixtures. The additions were made to page 2, in the "Project Results" section, and the detailed results to pages 45-46 in the section on the CS14 fixture.
