CLTC - Auto DR for Small Commercial

Project Number DR15.10 Organization SCE End-use Lighting Sector Commercial Project Year(s) 2016 - 2017
Description
This project will evaluate automated demand response (ADR) solutions for use with lighting in small commercial applications (less than 10,000 square feet)to identify solutions for both retrofit and new construction applications and space types. Focus will be on historically underserved commercial markets such as banks, fuel filling stations, and parking garages. Work will include an examination of technologies capable of delivering ADR for lighting systems serving these spaces and estimation of potential savings. The evaluation will include dimming and other control strategies and system features enabled by ADR control systems. Following a thorough examination of the technologies and markets, appropriate ADR solutions will be field installed at up to two host sites to document costs and savings; and estimate statewide savings potential based on demonstration outcomes.
