Backlit Signs and Menu Boards Lab Evaluation

This laboratory evaluation is aimed to evaluate the potential retrofit solutions available to replace existing fluorescent technology and magnetic ballasts with more efficient lighting solutions, such as light emitting diodes (LED). Energy savings will be analyzed while comparing the photometric performance with respect to brightness of the sign and representation of color. The data used will be used to determine which signs will be field evaluated as a second phase to this project.
