Innovative Technologies and Practices in the Agricultural and Food Industry

This ETCC meeting will convene experts from industry, research centers, utility and government entities working to advance agricultural and food industry energy efficiency through innovative technologies and strategies.

Featured speaker David Zoldoske directs Fresno State University’s Center for Irrigation Technology. Dr. Zoldoske will present on the state of agribusiness and role of agricultural technology in California. Panelists from Grundfos, Woolf Farming & Processing, and Advanced Energy Innovations will join Dr. Zoldoske to share perspectives on the efficient use of water and energy in food production, processing and distribution.

In the afternoon, California utility and state energy agency representatives will discuss their vision for the agricultural and industrial sectors, and will share findings from relevant emerging technology projects. The ETCC presenters will be joined by the morning panelists from Grundfos, Woolf Farming & Processing, Advanced Energy Innovations and the Center for Irrigation Technology.

The ETCC is a collaborative working group consisting of SCE, PG&E, SDG&E, SoCal Gas, SMUD and the CEC, with oversight from the CPUC. The Council hosts quarterly meetings to discuss their vision for emerging technologies, provide project updates and seek input from industry experts. This ETCC meeting is hosted by Southern California Edison (SCE).
