SDG&E Participates in Department of Energy Competition to Develop Innovative Energy Apps

On January 16, 2014, The Department of Energy (DOE) launched a competition to encourage the development of innovative energy apps built with publicaly-available data. SDG&E will host of one a series of DOE-sponsored "hackathons", which are aimed at encouraging innovators to brainstorm and collaborate on the creation of energy apps that leverage open data (such as that of Green Button).

SDG&E will host a hackathon January 31-February 1st at its Energy Innovation Center (4760 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA).
