CEC Building Natural Gas Technology Grant Program Solicitation

California Energy Commission is accepting abstracts for its Building Natural Gas Technology (BNGT) Grant Program

 Deadline to Submit Abstracts (Stage 1) - February 3, 2014 by 3:00 p.m.

 Deadline to Submit Proposals (Stage 2) - April 11, 2014 by 3:00 p.m.

Purpose

 The California Energy Commission is soliciting proposals under this grant solicitation to research and demonstrate emerging energy efficiency technologies and improvements to processes and operations that reduce natural gas use, improve indoor environmental quality in buildings, and reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) associated with using natural gas-burning systems. This solicitation applies to California's existing and new construction residential and commercial buildings. Its objectives are to demonstrate affordable, comfortable, and energy efficient buildings through technology and operations advancement, and to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while maintaining or increasing productivity. 

Pre-Application Workshop

 There will be one Pre-Application Workshop. Participation is optional but encouraged. The workshop will be held through in-person participation, WebEx, and conference call on the date and at the time and location listed below.
