Training Course: The History of Energy Efficiency and Demand Response Policy in California
The California Efficiency and Demand Management Council (CEDMC) is hosting two separate half-day courses for mid-level professionals on June 12 (in Irvine) and June 22 (in San Francisco) on the history of EE and DR policy in California. The course will provide an overview from the very early days of energy “conservation” starting in the 1960s, to the beginnings of demand response during the 2000-2001 energy crisis, and will finish with an examination of how past events influenced the policy landscape of today. The course will also define and dive into pending and recently-enacted policies and legislation that impact those in the energy efficiency and demand response industries.
